I purchased the Dansko Deena in black, size 11.5-12, regular width (42 EU). I normally wear an 11W, but can sometimes fit into a regular width shoe, depending on the shape of the toe box. These shoes are so cute, but alas, they were not long enough to accommodate my foot. I could slip into them, but my big toe was hitting the front. I will sadly be returning them. I would have exchanged them for a size 43 if that was an option, but it is not. (The Dansko website also showed the 42 EU as the largest size.) The buckle is an actual functional buckle and there is elastic at the strap end.

I am so bummed these didn’t work. I need a lot of stability and my narrow heel slips out of shoes without a strap. I usually wear size 8. These are cuter and younger looking than many alternatives, but the 38 was too long and the top back of the shoe dug into my ankle bones on the sides. In the 37, the top front of the shoe was too shallow and dug into the top of my foot. Oh well.

This was the shoe I had been looking for, for some time. A low heel dress shoe with an actual buckle instead of the troublesome velcro. The toe box is cut very low and shows a lot of ‘toe cleavage, that cuts across the knuckles of the great toes. Even with a light sock/liner, my feet will blister. I am very sad to have to return them.

The shoe looked beautiful. It felt a little big. I am normally a size 8 and I ordered a size 38. The shoe seemed to give good support but it felt hard o the sole of the foot and not cushioned. The leather around the ankle also felt a little hard and irritating.

It’s often hard to find comfortable Mary Jane type of shoes that aren’t super flat and have no arch support whatsoever….NOT Dansko…these are very feminine and flattering with skirts and dresses and just CUTE, too…wish I had a fine Professor’s lap to jump into, LOL….

I Love the style of this shoe. I love the feel of the shoe. I love the heel height of the shoe. However, I would recommend going down a size. I generally wear a 37 in Dansko clogs but I need to size down as this is a true shoe and not a clog.

This shoe is traditional shoe style which means that you would NEED to size down from your Dansko CLOG size. To be on the safe side, you could order your clog size and a size down to see which size fits better. You wont be disappointed! As for me, I needed this shoe in a size 36 NOT 37. My feet kept sliding forward.

These are a little big, but I will wear them with socks. They are not as comfortable as most Danskos, as I am aware of the front edge on the top of my foot – not painful, but could be if I wore them too much. I’m not used to the heel height (my problem), but they are quite nice for dress up. I will mostly just wear them to church.
