Are Clogs For Me????
Getting past the geek factor, these shoes are very, very comfortable and give support to the foot in a unique way. Give yourself a few days before you make up your mind on how they feel and you will be hooked. I went with the next larger size and they were perfect.

For about 4 years now I have been wearing Danskos open back clogs and I love em. They feel great and are so easy and comfortable on your feet. They are almost impossible to wear out. They last and last. If it rains, these are the shoes to wear because of the rubber non skid bottom, and also they help to keep your feet dry. I have 5 pairs they are that good and i’m a guy. Danskos are the best no doubt about it, especially in the comfort zone and looks. If you are a guy definitely give these a try. These will replace almost all your other shoes they are so comfortable and longlasting in wear. I have saved a lot of money wearing these clogs over my good leather shoes which require constant maintance and care. Danskos require very little care. I highly recommend them. My wife and kids also love em.

Best footwear I’ve purchased in years.
I grew up in Europe through my teenage years, where wearing clogs was quite ordinary and drew little or no attention. As an adult male now living in the US, I found it interesting that wearing clogs conversely lead to comments I didn’t welcome so I decided to blend with the culture and stored or threw out my wooden soled clogs. What a mistake – to forgo the comfort and freedom as well compromise healthy feet and back for the sake of vanity. These Dansko clogs are the best footwear I’ve purchased in 20 years. Much lighter than the wooden soled ones I used to wear and well shaped to the bottom of my feet as well as the overall circumferance (outline) of my foot. I can wiggle my toes and yet the clog remains nicely fitted and does not slip off as I walk. The toe grips that used to be a part of the older designs is not a part of this footbed, but it’s not needed to keep the clog on as you walk. There’s an airy comfort to wearing the Karl. The size for me is perfect – I’m a US size 11 and the 46 European is a perfect fit. I actually bought a secong pair within a few weeks so that I could alternate daily between the pairs and keep them cleaner and fresh smelling longer. I highly recommend this footwear – especially if you can’t stand to wear anything on your feet. They are light but very well made and while providing winter protection, can easily be slipped off under your desk as you work. With socks or no socks, they are a wonderful gift to yourself.

I had always heard that Dansko shoes were great for people who walked and stood a lot. They were right on target! The shoes were comfortable from day one. Following site instructions I tried a size 44. The shoe seemed too short, especially with socks, so I tried a 45 and then finally a 46. The third time was the charm! These shoes and a pair of Dansko professionals are going to be my “go to” shoes for everyday wear. Many thanks for the outstanding service during the protracted buying process. Zappos has been the best site I have ever done business with on the web and am most happy to take the time to do this review.

Great shoe, all leather inside and out. Comfort, support and style. Nice. I found the size to be correct, in fact maybe a touch on the small side. I usually wear a 45, sometimes a 46, depending on the shoe… A 45 in this shoe was clearly too short. The 46 is JUST long enough. So, this may be in contrast to other reviews, but there you have it. Honestly I think the Zappos European conversion scale is a little on the small side. I am Dutch, used to the 40’s sizing, and this is simply what I find. The shoe, when you do find your size, is WELL worth the money.

This is my fourth pair of Dansko clogs and my second pair of Dansko Karls. I bought the first pair in this style 5 years ago and swore that if they ever needed replacing, I’d buy them again. My 5 year old pair are still going strong, but I just needed another pair so I could switch every day. I also own 2 pair of Dansko Professionals. I have arthritis in my hip and back, and when I step into my Danskos, the pain instantly disappears. I highly recommend these to anyone that spends a lot of time on their feet. To me, it’s Dansko forever!

After searching for clogs locally to no avail, I found Zappos. I ordered a pair of Dansko’s which arrived in 2 days (best shipping arrangement I have ever found) I wore them the first day, and literally found the best shoe that I’ve ever worn. I like them so much I ordered a second pair (different color) just 3 weeks later. I love Dansko. The entire purchasing process was the best that I have experienced. I will now only consider Zappos in the future.

Don’t believe manufacturer sizing recommendation. I read the product description and I read some reviews. The product description recommends sizing downward for open back shoes. I read another reviewer that said this is a mistake, and I agree. Order the size you would normally wear; it will save you the hassle of reordering and returning. On the other hand, Zappos made that part really easy.

Really liked the shoe. Beautiful quality and nice leather. Would have liked to wear them but the advertised size 47 is more like a US size 12 than a 13.5-14. I have size 13 feet and have never had a problem with previous Zappos orders in size 13 and these shoes simply were way too small.

Yes, they really do run small. Get a size bigger than you think you need, based on the conversion chart – and, I’m doing this review thing because they were really nice when I had to exchange them.

After more than forty years on this planet, I say wholeheartedly that Dansko clogs are the most comfortable shoes I have ever had–period. That is after years of long distance running, lots of hiking, work on an electronics factory floor, and most recently shlubbing around in an office. I wish I had these clogs at the start of my journey.
Both the Karl and the Professional are good. I prefer the Karl, but I keep a pair of the professionals to slip into at the office for the greater formality of having something more than socks cover the heels.
The black-oiled Karls are the casual clogs for the weekend–well worth it, as all Danskos are. Good with a casual pair of jeans, but they are harder to clean than box, cabrio, or bullhide.

I had Achilles tendon surgery and needed a comfortable shoe with a bit of an elevated heel and no pressure on the rear of my foot… these hit the mark perfectly for me. Very comfortable, well made, good looking, couldn’t be better.

I love Zappos and have bought 5 pairs of shoes from them over the last several years. I really didn’t think buying shoes “online” could be a viable alternative but with their super customer service, free shipping and return, it was easy. They have a great selection that would require you to search many “brick & mortar” stores to find. On my last order they comped me for express next day delivery free. This is one of two pairs of shoes that I alternate for work at a medical facility. I’ve worn clog-style shoes many times in the past, so I knew I could wear these for my job where I’m on my feet all day. They are comfortable. It may take a little getting used to since the heel is high, but once you’ve become accustomed to it, they feel great. The shoe is a little tight (it runs smaller than the stated size). I wear size 9 shoes, so based on the recommended sizing chart on the website, I ordered a size 42. It was short and tight. I sent it back and I received the size 43 shoes much more quickly than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise. The size 43 shoes are perfect. The construction appears sound, but they are less than a month old, so I’ll know more as I continue to wear them.

My girlfriend bought me a pair of Olaf clogs back in the late ’70s while I was in college and I wore them down to the wood bottoms. I remember how comfortable they were and how great they looked with a pair of jeans, so I decided to order a pair of Karl’s in antique brown. While they do run small, I normally wear a 10W and the size 44 fit perfectly. It didn’t take long to break them in. They are easy to slip on when I need to walk the dog, work around the house or run errands. I have gotten some nice comments from women at the local grocery store and notice that many of them wear Danskos when they go shopping. While some guys might by bothered by the stigma of wearing clogs, I could really care less as long as my feet are comfortable!

So I’ve always worn clogs and these clogs I endorse. While I usually wear a size 43, like a majority of the time, these I got in a 44 and that’s my right size. Rarely do I order up a size so take note when finding your right size.
The shoe is stylish to my eye and I wear it often. Whereas the materials are all excellent and it’s been very durable over time I do have a quibble. I find it a bit too quaint that the metal staples that a affix the leather to the sole pop out (a few, here again over time with lots of use) and I need to literally use a ball peen hammer to tap them in. I’m ok with a little 21st century expoxy being worked into the assembly,y line to keep thIs from happening. With that being said, kudos to all shoe cobblers!
