Fit fine, but seemed very uncomfortable. The heel is high and not comfortable

I have EDS and suffer from a host of joint issues. Dansko typically works great for me, so I decided to ignore the one and only (negative) review. They felt a bit firm at first, but I had been wearing my Hoka’s all day. After wearing them around for a few minutes, I was pleased that they offered excellent arch support while still feeling cushioned. The straps are comfortable and easily adjusted. My ankles felt firmly supported, no wobbling. Really happy with these!
Sheri –
This has great arch support for a sandal, just what I’d expect from Dansko. Very comfortable.

The ankle strap was not small enough, so I had to take it to a shoe repair place to shorten it. I got tired of returning shoes. and I needed a summer sandal. This was the 3rd pair of sandals I tried…all w/ the same ill-fitting ankle strap. Sandals are being sized to fit TWO sizes, so inevitably one shoe will be smaller than the other. This is STUPID. This shoe has plenty of adjustment across the toes and insole. I have never had this issue w/ Dansko shoes before.

I love these sandals! The nylon straps are smooth and flexible. The sole is thick, supportive (great arch support) and lightweight. I normally wear a size 10 in sneakers and the size 41 fit perfectly.

As described. Very good, very comfortable.

I have been looking for something with straps like Chacos but soles like Oofos and this is the closest I’ve found. When I first tried them on, I thought they were a bit too firm, but after wearing for a bit I really loved the cushioning. They just got me through a 10 day trip to Italy, walking 8-10 miles a day. I’ve had two rounds of plantar fasciitis and had no trouble wearing these. They will be my go-to for hot summer days!

Loved this sandal & would buy one in every color if I could ‘buckle’ them. I have a wide foot and high in step and the strap is much too short– at least 2 inches..

The ankle strap is too long…not enough velcro to make it tight enough. WHY would they do this??? Very frustrating, otherwise a great shoe!

I was hoping these would be like the Dansko Racquel that I ordered a couple of years. They are similar. Foot bed feels good, but there is not enough adjustment room with the Velcro straps. Velcro is supposed to make it more adjustable, but they don’t put on enough of the bottom strip to hold the straps in place. The heel strap wouldn’t adjust enough. I wish designers would go back to buckles. Chaco straps are great for a custom fit. I am just finding the foot bed doesn’t support me as well anymore.

Shoes were too bulky and straps were scratchy especially over the toe area. Will have to return.
Pat –
so happy with these shoes! a lot of support, comfortable, a very nice walking sandal

As I saw in another review, the heel of the sandals have a weird engraved/embossed logo pressed into the “skin” of the sole. It is maddening. I tried to wear them for a few hours but I felt that ridiculous imprint poking the bottom of my foot. Even just sitting, it was an irritant that I could feel constantly due to the uneven surface and the poking of specific portions of the lettering.. Honestly Dansko made a really bad decision putting this where people would feel it on the skin. What was the designer thinking?

I loved the previous version of these sandals, the soles are amazing. I was excited about the strapping on this new version, the strap across the top of the foot was moved down from the ankle (which kind of bugged me sometimes). In reality, the straps on these aren’t able to be tightened across the toes, other than a single movement across the top of the foot. It just didn’t give me the fit I was looking for. Soles, are amazing as always.

I have a really high arch and Danskos are great for that. These shoes have a high arch, but the sole is very flimsy so feet are not really supported. I found my feet aching after walking around in them. I was hoping for a hard sole like the clogs have. But the sole is spongy so support is minimal.
Sally –
I was liking these a lot until I realized that the velcro on the heel only aligns in a limited position, meaning there was no way to tighten the strap. They were ridiculously large in the only position that worked with the velcro placement. Surprising fail for such a well established company.
Pam –
These are insanely comfortable! I love the feel of the arch support. (I have high arches.) I haven’t worn them on a walk yet so I don’t know how they would do for that yet. I love Dansko!

The sandle was a great FIT. Hoever, the sole of the sandle, peices of the sole, started to become unglued. I have worn the Dansko product for years. this is the first time i have had a defunct pair. Very disapointed because the sandles are less then 4 months old. And I didnt wear them every day.

These are really wonderful, hands down the most comfortable sandals I’ve ever worn. The reviews about the strap worried me and it is a short strap, seems to be by design, basically the size of a buckle, you barely fold it over to secure it, it’s unusual but it works perfectly fine and I by no means have thin ankles! My only wish is they had a covered a toe so I could wear them more. Something I didn’t know before I bought was that these have bouncy extra cushion in the heel which is pretty great IMO.
For context – I buy a lot of shoes and am always looking for comfort, no break-in time, arch support, lightweight, lots of padding in the heel and metatarsal, etc. I’m picky with wider feet, narrow heels, high instep, weak metatarsal, and plantar fasciitis.

I bought this very cute shoe because I have so enjoyed the Dansko Kandi but wanted a sandal with a back strap for more support walking. I love the shoe’s platform, heel lift, and its spongy but firmly supportive shoe bed, which is different from most Dansko’s (but like the Kandi). For those reasons, I kept the shoes and will wear them some— but the roughness of the straps makes for a tough adjustment and I’ve gone through many bandaids so far.
LAUREN –
adorable sandal I wanted it to work but felt like I was standing on a rubber tire. Just not soft/comfortable enough
Taki –
Uncomfortable fabric but very pretty. Returning .

This sandal was recommended by a podiatrist for achilles tendinitis. It is comfortable and great for walking.
