The fit was great. I was concerned that the socks would be too cushioned. I have a different pair that I love but they are a little thick. This pair is perfect to wear with shoes you or boots that want a little cushion and comfort without making your shoes too small.

Darn Tough really are the best! These socks are cute, thin enough to wear with a dressier pair of boots, and still nice and warm. Pretty too. You could wear them under nice pants for work.
I wear wool socks nearly year-round for hiking and loved the pair of Darn Tough hikers I have. So, when my regular winter socks were starting to look old and I saw these, , I decided these would be a great replacement.
I love socks that come in more specific sizes, since I wear between a size 5 to 6 1/2 (Euro 35-37) shoe depending on the style. Even then, some women’s size smalls bunch up with extra material at the toes or heels, but not these. They fit comfortably with no annoying spots. And the wool is soft and not the least bit itchy, even though I have very dry skin.
I used to think spending $20 for a pair of socks was somewhat extravagant, but after I got a few pair, I realized the difference in fit and quality is worth it.
They are just so comfortable.
When I was first diagnosed with fibromyalgia, I remember reading about someone who complained that fibro had made many of her clothes unbearable to wear and thinking she must be exaggerating. I wish that were true! Fast forward a dozen years and now seams in the wrong spot can really bother me to the point that certain clothes become so uncomfortable I have to change. Toe seams are the worst but with these socks it’s never a concern.
Seriously, I put some Darn Tough socks in my daughter and husband’s Christmas stockings one year and they were never so happy to get socks!
Treat yourself to a pair. Your feet will thank you.
