Ridiculously awesome socks. Lifetime guarantee too. Comfy. Cool. Great for hiking, skiing, lounging. Buy them. Seriously. It’s an investment in your feet.

These are awesome!!!! They are made sooooo much better than smart wool. I have Raynauds and these work very well to keep my feet warm in any weather, I wear them almost all year round and I live in Tennessee. Smart wool wears out so quick

Love these socks for my long sweaty walks. They keep my feet happy and blister-free.

I wear these to go walking every day. I love the 1/4 height and the close fit of the sock overall, as well as the cushioning. They keep my blister-prone feet happy, dry, and blister-free even in our hot muggy summers here in New Orleans. I would buy every color they make. Well, I already have but I want more.

Perfect sauntering sock. Used with running shoes for walking the dog. I wanted more of my previous favorite sock, Nike Elite Cushion 1/4 sock, but they’re not made anymore. This was a very happy replacement, which is actually an improvement. I have a new favorite sock. Thanks to all the previous reviewers who gave me the incentive to try this sock.

Love love love love love these socks. Did I say I love these socks? Have worn them training & hiking Grand Canyon & Smokies, morphed into wearing them for daily walks as they are so comfortable. They do not smell, they wick moisture, wash warm dry med – don’t ruin these in the wash. Perfect height for ankle hikers. After having major foot surgery & nerve issues they are the only socks I can handle, because of their smooth, soft inside. Not too thick – though I’d love to find a pair of same height but with a little less cushioning.

These are the perfect hiking socks, and actually are the only socks I can wear post surgery, until nerves calm down. Merino wool and seamless means they’re super soft inside, while there is support & light cushioning without being thick. They wick away moisture & never smell. They come up to the top of ankle hikers, or give a small fold so they’re barely seen above sneakers. No other sock compares for me for any climate use. (Don’t wash in hot – they don’t need it and likely would shrink).

A woman recommended Darn Tough years ago. I now own many pairs, great for walking, hiking and keeping my feet warm in the winter. They are awesome! I purchased the denim and plum in this style, they are cute. So happy Zappos sells them too!

These are great summer hiking socks! Perfect weight, short, and pretty colors. And I love the way they fit!

My favorite…I own 4 pairs… good quality…warm…will last for many years… a good investment.

The height does not look as awkward in person as it does in the picture. I put them on and didn’t want to take them off all day! High merino wool content and great fit as always.

Perfect cushioned sock! Feet don’t sweat, love them!

I originally ordered the Medium in the beautiful purple color, but they were too big for me (I wear shoe size 7.5-8). These definitely seem to run big, as the size Small fits fine (and is very comfy), and I tried another Medium from a different retailer in case my first pair was a fluke (it wasn’t). I’m sad the purple isn’t available in this size, but these will work better fit-wise. Seem really well made other than the sizing issue.

I particularly like the colors. I’ve worn and washed my 3 pairs. they fit well, maybe on the long side but not a problem

Love these socks, love this brand. They fit well and wash up great!

I went with the size L based on my shoe size 10. They are too big. Hoping they will shrink in the wash. Comfortable otherwise. I was looking for a sock with moderate cushioning and feel like this is what I want. Will just go with a M next time.

So cushy and warm! Perfect cold weather hiking socks.

After repeatedly being told how great this brand of socks are I succumbed. My prior hesitancy was the lower wool content and cheap price compared to my favorite socks. Now I regret being a sock snob.
The cushioned padding, fit and material makes these a pleasure to wear. I’m not really a fan of the sock’s “crazy”coloring, but that’s just my personal preference for plain, neutral socks. I like this and the other pair of Darn Toughs I just bought so much that I just ordered a few more.
Alexandra –
They are hands down the best socks I have ever had. Plus a lifetime warranty is the cherry on top.

These work so well for winter walking in big boots.
For feet feel hugged and warm but no bums or wrinkles that you get with bulky wool or cotton socks .

Sizing was accurate – I am usually a size 6/6.5 womens and got size small. These socks are super comfortable for day hiking and have a good amount of cushion. I liked the length of the socks as well – not too long and not too short. The socks are a bit expensive but I think it is worth it esp if you like hiking or long walks!
Jenna –
Darn good socks. I have tree trunk legs/ankles so I’m always wary about purchasing ankle socks. Most feel so uncomfortable and tight, leaving annoying imprints on my legs, but these feel great! I got two pair and although pricey, I want more!

better than I imagined.

I have a 10-11 shoe sized foot. Large are a bit too baggy, medium are just slightly snug. All in all, I love these socks!
Stevie –
The size small for my 8 to 8+ narrow feet was perfect. On the trail, this sock (sock brand) blew me away. My feet felt uber comfortable in my usually just basically comfortable hiking shoes. From the colors/patterns to the care instructions, Darn Tough does it right. If I were to continue here, you’d just be reading a bunch of superlatives with exclamation marks following them.
