Fit and size is true to size… material is wicking and padding is comfortable. The thin top allows my foot to fit into regular shoes as well, for cold winter days. not just for hiking!

Love this pair of socks. They are great for winter weather on the east coast. I previously purchased a pair of these socks and I couldn’t go through the cold winter on the east coast without this pair of socks. I like the cushion the socks have especially since I have a high arch.

I never would have thought that wool socks could be so very comfortable. To be honest, I bought a pair in a store, and when I saw them on Zappos, I just had to have another pair! I used to exclusively wear another brand that were thicker with more padding, but these provide support to my challenged foot, and feel like butter.

Really great socks, finally! Smooth woven, non-itchy wool with the perfect give and “foot encapsulation”. Great for casual wear in the and light to medium length hiking in cooler autumnal and early spring weather. For winter in the northeast, these won’t suffice if planning to be outdoors all day — definitely would need to double up with something thicker plus wear a liner sock. However, for casual wear, these are nice.
I like to pair these with a silk sock liner.
I also like how the band doesn’t slip down but isn’t restrictive in the least bit. Yay for no ankle indentations.
These also machine wash well for wool socks. Just use delicate or hand wash. I’ve put them in the dryer and they held up fine but because I like them so much, I tend to hang dry over a heater.
They retain their shape really well, too.
Lastly, they’re so unique looking and really cute!

hands down the best socks. i got one pair back in 2019 and since then i’ve bought 6 pairs. i live in utah and spend a lot of time outside on hikes and these socks NEVER disappoint. i got my sister on them now and got my mom this out for christmas because she is in wi. they’re the absolute best.

Really like these socks. Just enough stretch. I wear a 9 1/2 to 10 and got the large. The colors are nice. I got the aqua ones. Pretty!

Great socks that are so well made, they last forever. Warm and cozy. The heel cushion lends extra layer of warmth for cold floors. And they do well in the wash, including the dryer.

I’ve been wearing my darn tough socks all winter (i have 4 pair) since 2019 and they’re stilll sound and hardy. Just beginning to show mild wear on second toe area, but still thick and warm! Snug fit, too. Love, love, love!!!!

I love the socks. They are so comfy I wore them to bed because it was a cold night. I believe they will hold up to their name “Darn Tough”. The colors are really gorgeous too and since I don’t like plain socks. These were perfect for me. One thing to be aware of is that I have thin legs so the elastic that holds them up could be too tight for someone with heavier legs.
