These socks were recommended by a Darn Tough expert. I was looking for a thin sock that had more cushioning on the bottom of the foot. I usually wear the tactical socks, and these are similar but with a slightly different cushioning pattern on the foot. I walk 8-9 miles a day for work, and these socks are comfy all day. For me, the cushioning around the foot is still a bit too thin on the very cold days (the rest of the sock is fine, it’s my feet that get chilled) but I still have the thick tactical socks for those days. These Stanley K’s will work great for me the rest of the year.

I have been wearing these socks for a couple of weeks and have washed them twice. (I know, ewww. ). But I had to test out the claim that they dont hold odors and can be worn multiple times between washes. I must say that I was surprised the claim proved true. The real test isnt for me though. My son goes through socks like his feet are made of razor blades and 80 grit sandpaper. I really want to see how they hold up for him and the lifetime warranty was the selling point that made me try them. We shall see how they work for him, but so far, so good with mine!

These are great work socks, great padding and they hold their shape and don’t sag around your ankles. Sure they cost more initially but they are a better value in the long run.

I have recently been making the move over to more over the calf socks, and these are among my top two choices for daily wear in the colder months. I don’t like thicker socks because they can make my feet too hot, these lightweight socks are perfect! They don’t slide down during the day, they never need pulling up and the cushioning is perfect! I originally purchased 1 pair, but I will definitely be adding more to my sock drawer. And as always, made in USA!!!!!

But when I do, they’re the Men’s Stanley K Lightweights from Darn Tough.
So many boot socks either ride down, or are of insufficient height for a proper western boot. Yes, you can wear them with Chelseas, or with side-zip boots, or even with some Ropers. But with a standard height Western, they just don’t cut it.
So I went for an over-the-calf and they work just fine. Comfortable, and don’t pinch. Easy to use, just find the opening in the top, and insert a leg, making sure that the legend “Darn Tough” is pointing forward. This guide makes it much easier for the toes to go in all the way, and prevents an annoying bunch of heel fabric on the top of your foot.
They did not come with washing instructions, but after some experimentation, I found they hold their shape well, even if you remove your leg before washing. This also reduces foot pain during the spin cycle.
What more can I say? I might even buy a second pair to wear with my other boots.
