Beautiful boots but the shaft is way wide. Description says 18″, which is what my other pair of David Tate boots are that I just got, but these are 20″. I have very wide calves and an extremely hard time finding boots that fit, these were actually too big!

I didn’t like the leather! It feels like pleather-fake leather, like vinyl!
They did not feel wide enough but the shaft is extremely wide! I didn’t order extra wide shaft but it sure feels like they are.

I used to literally cry when trying on boots because they never fit my large calves. I honestly had given up even trying. This year I decided to give it a try again and thanks to Zappos easy return policy I ordered 3 different styles of the David Tate boots. I returned the Extra-Wide Calf because sadly they were not wide enough. But both the Boost and the Super-Wide Calf fit. Ultimately I kept the Boost because they had a little more style than the Super-Wide Calf. I can finally wear boots over my leggings! Thanks Zappos and David Tate.

These have been the nicest wide boost I have owned. I have another pair of David Tate boots, plus another wide pair by Rose Petals, (all in the same price point) and both take a lot of pulling and tugging to get the zipper up over an ankle that’s been injured. These zip up easily so I can live with the top of the boot being just a tad wider than I actually need. The straps and buckles make these look so nice and and not frumpy like many wide boots. There’s no ugly elastic gore either-just all leather. Highly recommend!

These are VERY WIDE calf boots. I have pretty hefty calves, but I was swimming in these. Very nice, good style. Just way too big around the leg for me.

Ladies with really wide calves, this boot is for you! My calves are ~18″ circumference and this is the first boot I’ve tried with a boot shaft that’s a little too wide for me. Cute boot for those of you struggling to get the right fit on bigger calves.

Good boots but had to return as the calves part was Extra wide more wide then I would had wanted and look very loose like sagging . For that reason only , I had to return it .
Good support but if you don’t mind the extra wide part , these will be good for you especially for very thick legs.

Boots fit fairly well…the ww is a little too wide for me but I appreciate that the boots don’t pinch…you can adjust bottom buckle to make them feel tighter…calf at 20 inch is too wide but I am keeping them because it is hard for me to find higher boots that fit…I rather have them loose than too tight and uncomfortable…delivery was very fast!

I wear a woman’s shoe size 6, width EE so small but WIDE feet. I also have LARGE calves so must have XX wide calf boots. When I order boots I tend to order a full size larger (so a 7) because the foot width is just never wide enough even when they say they are supposed to be, well not with these boots!! The toe/foot box of the boot is nice and roomy and I probably could have ordered at least a half size down if not my actual true foot size. The calf area of the boot shaft is perfection! I tried four pairs of boots last year and could not find one to fit my XXW calves but this year I found them, one and done! The calf shaft zips easily, even over jeans, with a tiny bit of room to spare. Today on a lark I tried to slide into them without unzipping and I could!! Definitely recommend these and suggest if you like me tend to size up boots that you forgo that and give your true size a try first.

I have large calves and these are about 3” loose and we’re also too large in the footbed. Box came quickly but was quite damaged and the boots appeared to have been used and returned. Leather was nice but just not my style.

Wide calved ladies, if you have a calf sized over 18 in circumference then these a definite option! These were nicely constructed and looked lux. My wide calves were swimming in them (conservatively by 3 inches), but if that were not the case I would have kept these in a heartbeat! They were just about mid-calf height, so not near knee. I couldn’t quite tell upon ordering.

Wow, do I hate to return these boots! Perfect through the foot, lovely soft leather. But even with my extremely wide calves, these were too wide!! How I wish they were really 18″ in circumference. But they are at least 20″ and look like rainboots. Not stylish at all. Oh well, have to keep looking for the perfect tall black boots!

I love them. I have looked for years to find a pair of boots that I liked. I also wanted real leather. The only problem is the foot is a little tight so I won’t be able to wear thick socks but that is ok.

These are nice boots but the calves were way too wide – and that is a first actually. I am about 17.5 and these were easily 20. So great for those who need it but not great for me.

I absolutely loved these boots until the seam came out of part of the boot shortly after the 1 year return window–resulting in a hole along the zipper line of these boots. For a pair of boots that were over $200, I would not expect for any of the seam to come out after such a short period of time. I have maybe worn them 8 times. Really a shame.

Comfort wise, no complaint. The width was so much wider than expected, even tho’ I have a large calf and finding wide boots is hard (think pirate boots/ Cap’n Jack Sparrow) Overall gave 3star because comfort is nice and, if you want this style, sure. For me, being returned.

I was very excited to actually zip up a calf boot! I have wanted a dress boot for years! I actually gave up in the dream… until I stumbled upon these beautiful leather boots – very nicely made. They are actually a bit big on me but I think I can manage. I zipped them up with room over my jean! That is amazing! I did the dance of joy! I wish they also came in brown… but then I suppose I am being greedy. Grateful for the boots! Now I can wear dresses in the cold weather!
