Love it, love it, love it! Many thanks to the shoe Gods and Zappos–finally, I own a pair of great looking shoes that fit my weird feet. I will have something to wear when it snows instead of my cloth and leather tennis shoe. They look great and stylish. They don’t hurt my feet and they will cut the cold winter winds. I’ll have something nice to wear for the Holidays instead of those tennies–I won’t look like a bum. Yea! Weird feet are a curse (6 EEEE) but Zappos is a blessing. Only downside, hardly any arch support but I don’t care–they don’t hurt.

These ran a bit large. I sometimes wear size 9 in other shoes, but found the 8.5 in this shoe to be a bit large even with thick hiking socks. Still, I’m glad I got them. I walked comfortably for miles on city sidewalks yesterday without breaking them in first. I like that they look good enough to wear into a restaurant, but have thick enough soles to cushion my feet on pavement. The insole can be removed and replaced with a custom orthotic.

I ordered about 12 other pairs of boots from Zappos before purchasing these. I could not find a more stylish higher quality bootie that fit. They are roomy in the front for my bunion and I can pull the laces tight. I am wearing them with trouser socks. Others could have fit with thicker socks. Thought my shoe size changed. I tried 9½, 10, 10½, 11, 40, 41 and 42. These are my regular size 10. Thanks, Zappos!

Didn’t like this boot at all. It was huge and looked really boxy. It was nice soft leather but nothing else was good about them. On the way back. Love Zappos.

Wow! They really are! (Comfy, that is.) I have pretty awful bunions on both feet, & corns on the little toes, so mostly I am pleased if shoes only hurt a little. Right out of the box & onto feet that had swollen from a long day at the office & in the car, and these David Tate Comfys felt as good as slippers! Even better when I verified I could fit my custom orthotics inside & still have toe-room & comfort. They fit great with thin trouser socks, and I can easily loosen the laces to accommodate thick warm socks too. I’m in love! They are also cuter on my feet than they look on the website. Much more stylish than the usual shoes I must wear in order to get the extra depth in the toe-box. Thank you Zappos!

Excellent shoe for all day wear. Comfy lives up to its name. More flattering on than the picture and looks great with pants.

Love these shoes! Very comfortable! I have wide feet and the WW’s (my normal size) fit perfectly and look great with jeans. I highly recommend these shoes!

This is a comfortable, lightwieght, durable boot. I bought them for a Rome vacation and walked miles in them! They were just what I needed.

Finally, an adorable little shoe boot in large size and width. Love the way these look. Very light weight and reasonably comfy however very little padding on sole and my feet do hurt after too much walking. It’s a worthwhile sacrifice as the toe box is really shaped like a foot and my toes are happy! In spite of the lack of padding I’m ordering the black as well. Nice alternative to tennis shoes or clogs with skirts or jeans.

Love these! I wanted something with good traction on the bottom and they do. The style is great and I get lots of compliments on them.

I love these shoes and they are so comfortable and fit. I am in between an wide and regular width. I ordered wide but with sock they are the best.

The picture looks better than the actual shoe, which is homely looking to me. Not much arch support. Are comfortable, though.

These are the most comfortable boots I own! They looked a little strange out of the box, but once I put them on I knew these would be a keeper! Great with jeans or casual pants.

Great alternative to sneakers for those who wear orthotics. Orthotics fit right in. Could use more support, but having ties helps. Looks decent.

I love these! They are comfortable with either thin nylons or heavy cotton socks. They look great with both jeans and long black skirts. And even though I have arthritis in my hands and feet, they are not at all difficult to lace up or untie and remove. My regular size (9 1/2 W) fits very well.

These boots are comfortable but there is too much extra space between the top of the foot and the boot. This big gap made the shoes uncomfortable for me.

Great boots for casual wear! I wore them all day right out of the box and was comfortable all day. Good fit even with heavy socks. It has solid tread on the bottom of the shoe so I didn’t worry about slipping on wet pavement.

The David Tate Comfy is true to its name. By far , the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever had! They also have a removable insole to accommodate my orthotics. Love them.

I don’t believe the stated weight — light overall but the sole/heel are heavy. That said, incredibly comfy and soft.

These shoes were great and true to size! I have problems with bunions so having comfortable wide shoes that are stylish are difficult to find. I would highly recommend them.

Warm and comfy, run wide in toe so no problem with ball of my foot problems. Good for walking in rainy Seattle and still stylish.

Wonderful shoe! It feels like I’m wearing slippers.

What great shoes! If I had known they would sell completely out of the brown in my size so quickly, I would have moved faster after I got the black. They were and are super, butter soft, and laced up it is like wearing leather socks with a good sole! The toe box is generous, even in my WW width. There is no cramped, bent, or stressed out toes here. They are also quite warm for chilly days, and the sole is nicely textured to give good traction on slick/icy patches. And they are just as cute as they can be! They go great with leggings and jeans. They are a little like the big brothers/sisters of those old fashioned rigid-support toddler high tops that everybody learned to walk in; except with really soft and comfortable leather uppers. These are my absolute favorite shoes ! Do not let them stop making these shoes! I would buy them in brown, red, forest green, plum, duck-foot orange, gray, navy, or any other color made available.

These are great shoes for wearing with jeans in the winter. I needed some short boots for walking the dog when it was wet outside, and these are feel great. I almost didn’t get them because I really wanted brown, which they were out of, and all they had was black. But I am so glad I decided to get them anyway.

They may not be the prettiest shoes, but I have never had a shoe that allows for my foot problems and does it comfortably. I LOVE these shoes. Now when are you going to get a beige, camel, taupe…something lighter than dark brown?
