The fit was fine. Possible a little long but not a deal breaker. They felt very stiff and awkward around the ankle when I walked in them.

I have a very hard time with shoes. I am a small woman so it is surprising that my feet are so very wide. Shoes sales people try to tell me something “runs wide” and it is so frustrating because it is obvious they have no idea. I would have no options if not for Zappos. Here I can actually find something that looks nice yet will fit my very wide feet. I had to return the boots for a shorter size but have noticed if I get the shoe wide enough, a shorter length works well. Zappos’ very easy return/exchange process is a life saver, I can try shoes on in my home and take my time determining the right fit, I seldom shoe shop anywhere else at this point. Thank you Zappos!

Classy, soft, and comfortable The color is a deep earthy red, like a dark oxblood. Ordered 11N. The boot isn’t very narrow and the heel in particularly is wide and doesn’t hold my heel at all, however the boot is narrow enough around the ankle that the front part of the shaft holds my foot in pretty well. There is room for the thinner version of my custom orthotics, and room for a pair of everyday, un-cushioned wool socks.

I originally ordered this in an 11 EE and it was too long, to my surprise! Ordered half a size down and it’s a perfect fit. Footbed is not especially padded, but I put my own inserts in and they work fine

My bare foot came right to the end of the shoe leaving no room for socks, yet there was a large gap between my leg and the opening of the shoe. Loved the style and the price but chose the Spring Step KASTANIA-BX as there was more toe room allowing for wearing socks. I actually liked the look of the Spring Step style better but the David Tate shoe came in a close second.

I liked the look of the boots and quality and always wear a 9 1/2 or 10 but these boots were at least a half size or maybe even a full size too big as my heel would come up when I walked.

I like these boots, but I have a wide foot so I ordered the WW and my foot is floating in them. I think if I can get them in just Wide that might be the ticket. They are high quality and comfortable. Cute too!

I bought both black and brown. I wear a 13WW and have problems with bone spurs and tendinitis. I like the style of these boots and they fit well, but the soles seemed to be a little thin and flat. The fit was loose enough to add a thin gel insole which helps and they don’t hurt my feet wearing them all day. I have not tried them with my doctor prescribed insoles yet. I’ve only had them a few weeks and thought I’d “break them in” first. Overall I am very pleased with the purchase. I’ve never tried David Tate shoes before, but I’m glad I did. I’m considering buying the gray ones.

I usually wear a 9.5M. Those were too short. I reordered a 10 which was the correct length but feel wide. I will wear them with a heavier sock. They’re very cute( as “cute” as a size 10 can be!)

However, they must run large in both width and length. I even tried them with winter cocks, my foot slips out.
I must return unfortunately! Comfort wise they felt thick but I really can’t say because they are to big.

Although I like the length & width of the boots, the awkwardly inward toe boxes make my pinky toes squeezed, while there is plenty of room for my big toes. It’s mainly my problem. Most of people will find the boots very spaceful. The shapes of Dansko & Sanita fit my feet better. There is no arch support but it’s also very comfortable. It’s slippery resistant. Color brown is very beautiful. I had to make a return. What a pity.
